DAMISOL 3551 - DRUM 20 KG

Impregnating resin 3551 is a solventless silicone resin based on phenylmethylvinylhydrogenpolysiloxan with built-in catalyst.

DAMISOL 3551 is a transparent impregnating resin, thermo curing with excellent temperature properties and is therefore especially suitable for producing traction motors of thermal class 220.

Features :
- Color : Colourless to slightly yellowish, clear to slightly cloudy
- Hardness : 75 - 90 Shore D
- Thermal class : +220 °C

Applications :
Impregnating resin 3551 is used especially for traction motors of thermal class 220 to IEC Publ. 349.
It is generally used with the vacuum pressure impregnation process (VPI).
The insulation is produced with Samicapor class H/C tapes.
The latter exhibit low dielectric losses, which vary little with temperature or voltage and have good mechanical properties, high flexibility in warm conditions, allowing for differential expansion in the machines.
